Project: Automated Car Seat Assembly Line (GM Truck 360 6-Way Seat Adjuster)

Objective: Generate PLC logic that will control automation, alarming, and conveyor system for Automated Car Seat Assembly Line. Generate all PLC descriptions and symbols for customized program. Program Omron touchscreen using NT-series Support Tool. Configure all I/O to be used with Omron Device Net. Configure and program RFID equipment used with system. Act as focal point of controls information between customer, vendors and managers on project. Support all electricians, managers, mechanical engineers and technicians with configurations etc.

Responsibilities: Successfully integrated touch screen technology with new and customized automation system. Generated original programming for Omron PLC. Configured and setup I/O for Device Net. Generated original screens, messaging and menus on touchscreen. Trained all necessary personnel and performed functional tests on finished project. Generated system standards that minimized programming and maximized quality. Modifications successfully improved cycle time, repeatability, and lowered scrap costs. Conducted validation and testing procedures to ensure proper system requirments such as alarming and safety conditions were met. Also configured and integrated outside devices such as light curtains, pneumatic drills and customized mechanical devices. Position also demonstrated ability to master specified PLC Omron and OIT programming, without any previous background. Previous engineering education and programming allowed me to achieve a minimal learning curve.
