CAC is looking for a well versed Machine Vision Specialist, who possesses
an analytical approach to providing solutions on machine vision applications.
The prospective candidate will build tools to extract necessary data from
videos or images using MIL 9 VB.Net library (Matrox). The incumbent will be
versed in developing algorithms capable of dynamic edge detection, dynamic
tresholding, thermal data extraction (from gray scaled images), ROI definitions
and data extraction. They will possess good data archiving schemes and procedures
for future use. The candidate will be well versed in creating GUIs within
a VB.Net or C++ environment, experience with incorporating the Matrox Image
Library would be a huge plus, but similar library incorporation experience
would be accepted as well. Understanding of imaging hardware, lenses, frame
grabbers and how it all works together, would be a big plus.
In addition incumbent will be working with a PI System (Real-time and Historical trending data tracking system) in particular cases data may need to be extracted from this system (contains excel add in) to be used and combined with data from a processed image. For example this data may need to be calculated by excel or Matlab for various formulas etc. So a strong knowledge of both or either would be preferred.
